Zsuzsanna Kalmar was just two years old when Nazis invaded hungary in March 1944. Now called Suzi, she shared her story of the escape, with her mother, from the ghetto, just before 437,000 Hungarian jews were transported to Auschwitz on cattle trucks over a period of just over 2 weeks in 1944. Suzi described her horror when learning about the events of October 7, 2023, just six months after her book 'Courage to Care' was published, and shared her fear that the bell is once again tolling for Israel. She reminded attendees at #Churchandstate that 'The holocaust did not start with murders, it started with words' and encouraged the audience to stand up and speak up for Israel.
