Can somebody ask Justice Robert Bromwich of the Federal Court, “what is a woman?”

The answer is very straightforward.

“Sex is changeable and not necessarily binary”.

These were His Honour’s actual words as he delivered his judgment in the now world-famous Australian gender test case .. known as Tickle vs Giggle.

Tickle is a transgender man, now woman.

Giggle is the short name for a women’s only website.

Tickle wanted to join Giggle.

Giggle said no.

On Friday, the Federal Court found Giggle guilty of indirect gender identity discrimination.

The Court believed Giggle should not have refused old-mate’s admission.

It’s a staggering but unsurprising outcome.

Unsurprising because the Judge said at the outset he would be deciding the case based on what the law is, not what it should be.

The decision mean - unfortunately - for women and young girls in Australia, the law gives more rights to men who identify as women, than to actual women and girls.

Just think about that for a moment.

Sally Grover is an actual woman.

She’s behind Giggle .. more accurately, the CEO of the ap “Giggle for Girls”.

The finding means she must compensate the former Mr ‘Tickle’ over all this.

She told Daisy Cousens on ADH TV, “there are not that many days in your life that you have a court tell you what they have today .. that males can be female and sex can be changed”, Ms Grover said.

“This judgment was, unfortunately, expected due to the nature of the muddled sex discrimination Act that we're dealing with”, Ms Grover said.

“It basically means that any man can claim to be a woman. We literally we don't kind of exist in law. Crazy stuff.”, she said.

“It’s ironic, Julia Gillard has dined out for ten years now on being Australia's first female prime minister. Obviously very clear of what a woman is or was at the time and it was in her time that all this madness lead to what’s happened today”.
